Hanwha Aerospace achieved strong performance, recording consolidated operating profit of KRW 1.3655 trillion in the second quarter, up 58.5% from the same period last year.

On the 31st, Hanwha Aerospace announced that on a consolidated financial statement basis, it recorded KRW 9.2929 trillion in revenue and KRW 1.3655 trillion in operating profit for the second quarter of 2024, based on preliminary results.

■ Q2 Key Performance Summary

Revenue increased 61.6% from the previous quarter (KRW 5.751 trillion) and 47.2% from the same period last year (KRW 6.311 trillion). Operating profit rose 113.7% compared to the previous quarter (KRW 638.9 billion) and 58.5% from the same period last year (KRW 861.4 billion). Profit from continuing operations before income tax expense reached KRW 1.2467 trillion, up 124.7% from the previous quarter and 167.3% from the same period last year.

Net income totaled KRW 1.0805 trillion, up 105.3% from the previous quarter and 277.5% from the same period last year. Net income attributable to owners of the parent company was KRW 636.4 billion, an increase of 144.1% from the previous quarter and 253.2% from the same period last year.

■ First-Half Cumulative Performance

Cumulative revenue for the first half reached KRW 15.0439 trillion, up 27.5% from the same period last year. Operating profit was KRW 2.0044 trillion (up 44.1%), and profit from continuing operations before income tax expense was KRW 1.8016 trillion (up 158.6%).

During the same period, net income was KRW 1.6068 trillion, up 242.5% from the same period last year, while net income attributable to owners of the parent company was KRW 897.1 billion, up 274.3%.

Hanwha Aerospace stated that these results are preliminary consolidated figures prepared in accordance with the Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) and have not yet been subject to external audit, meaning they may be partially revised during the audit process.
