Hanwha Ocean announced on the 31st that it has signed a contract worth 838 billion won with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) for the 'Detailed Design and Lead Ship Construction Project of the Destroyer (KDDX).'

This contract amount represents a large-scale order equivalent to 6.6% of Hanwha Ocean's most recent revenue (12.7835 trillion won) based on its consolidated financial statements at the end of 2025. The contracting party is DAPA, and the contract period is calculated from July 31, 2026, to June 30, 2032. The sales and supply region for the defense materials is the Republic of Korea.

Payments will be made in accordance with the 'Defense Acquisition Program Act,' the 'Rules on Advance and Interim Payments for the Defense Industry,' and the 'Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts to Which the State is a Party,' and will include down payments and advance payments.

Regarding this project, Hanwha Ocean added, "The contract period and the final settlement amount may change depending on the future progress of the work."
