Nature Cell (007390) closed notably weak on the last trading day of July, even as the domestic stock market recorded a historic rebound.

In the regular trading session on the 31st, Nature Cell finished trading at 22,000 won, down 800 won (3.51%) from the previous day. During the session, the stock rose as high as 23,450 won, riding an upward trend, but ultimately turned to a decline, failing to join the market rally.

On the same day, both KOSPI and KOSDAQ surged simultaneously, significantly improving investor sentiment. KOSPI closed at 6,595.45, up 17.91%, while KOSDAQ ended at 719.76, up 11.63%. Buying spread centered on semiconductor and large-cap tech stocks, leading to broad market strength.

However, Nature Cell detached from the overall market upward trend, closing the last trading day of July on a weak note.

Some market participants are focusing on whether Nature Cell will recover its losses and rebound on the first trading day of August, or whether the wait-and-see stance will persist. Stock market volatility along with the recovery of investor sentiment in the overall biotech sector are cited as key variables for short-term stock price movements.
