Rookie boy group EMOT:M has taken their first step with dreams of becoming global K-pop artists.

Recently holding their debut showcase in Seoul, EMOT:M officially marked their debut by unveiling the performance of the title track 'Spark' from their first single album for the very first time. On this day, the members candidly shared everything from the meaning behind their group name to their debut thoughts and future goals, expressing their ambitious aspirations to grow into a global K-pop group.

The group name EMOT:M, born from combining 'Emotion' and 'Music,' carries the meaning: 'Let you and me, existing in different worlds, connect through music, support and comfort each other, and run together toward our dreams.'

The debut track 'Spark' is a K-pop dance track that expresses the thrill of excitement and explosively bursting energy through an electric sensibility. Featuring intense synth sounds and an addictive melody, it vividly captures the sparkling energy of youth.

◆ "Don't give up on your dreams"... From sincere debut thoughts to behind-the-scenes stories The members' debut thoughts stood out for their sincerity. Leader Jooyeon said, "There was a time when I gave up on my dream of becoming an idol, but I couldn't let go of music," adding, "I got a good opportunity to join EMOT:M, and I want to become an artist who delivers dreams and comfort to many people in the future."

Main vocalist Chanyul also pledged, "There were many moments when I wanted to give up on debuting, but I was able to achieve my dream by meeting a good company and great members," vowing, "I will become an excellent artist who never loses my original intention." The youngest member, Jinwon, shared, "Thanks to my parents, the company, and the members, I was able to make a new start," adding, "I will grow into an artist who is always polite."

Young Ho, a member from Hong Kong, expressed his thoughts, saying, "I never imagined that I would debut just one year after coming to Korea," and pledged, "I will do my best to repay those who support me with my own unique charm." The laughter continued during the subsequent behind-the-scenes stories from the music video shoot. Young Ho brought laughter to the venue, saying, "Originally, we were only supposed to pretend to splash water, but at Leader Jooyeon's suggestion, we actually splashed real water and all got completely drenched; that scene remains the most memorable."

◆ "Role models are BTS and BIGBANG"... Soaring as world-class artists On this day, EMOT:M showcased their individual stages and performances, radiating the confidence and energy characteristic of rookies. During the Q&A session, discussions about their debut track and role models followed. Jooyeon recalled, "When I first heard 'Spark,' I was so overwhelmed with emotion that I shed tears in front of our CEO," adding, "It was even more overwhelming because it was exactly the refreshing debut song I had always dreamed of."

Jooyeon continued to emphasize, "My role models are BTS and BIGBANG. I want to learn from their stages and music that exert influence globally, and from their image as artists who have been loved for a long time." Chanyul expressed his aspirations, stating, "'Spark' is a 10 out of 10 song for me," and added, "I want EMOT:M to earn the modifiers of being a talented idol group and a group that delivers hope to people all over the world."

Additionally, the members revealed their fanboy side by mentioning senior artists they would like to film challenge videos with, such as ZEROBASEONE, NCT WISH, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), Zhang Hao, and Bae Jin Young.
