KBS 1TV's flagship long-running entertainment program 'National Singing Contest' is set to host its first festival following the establishment of the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City. In the 'Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City Nam-gu Edition,' airing on August 2 at 12:10 PM, 16 local teams will take the main stage to showcase their diverse vocal talents.

This round's finalists will perform on a stage held at the Gwangju University Gymnasium. Participants, consisting of diverse relationships including mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, dance academy instructors and students, and workplace colleagues, will deliver special harmonies as they passionately sing classic hits such as 'Now,' 'Last Night's Story,' and 'Tears.'

The broadcast will also feature special performances by popular trot singers. First, Jeon Yu-jin will open the show spectacularly with 'Gayo Gayo,' followed by Son Bin-ah's performance of 'Thank You' to amplify the excitement. The stage will continue with Ji-won-i's 'It Won't Be There' and Yu-min's 'Hey, Is It Good?' Finally, Jang Min-ho will sing 'Ring the Instruments' to bring the festival's excitement to its peak.

Now in its 46th year, 'National Singing Contest,' which visits viewers every Sunday at 12:10 PM, plans to present a true festival stage created collectively by local residents and trot singers through this edition.
