Episode 9 of KBS 2TV's Saturday-Sunday miniseries 'The Perfect Wedding' recorded a peak viewership rating of 8.9% per minute and a nationwide rating of 7.6%, setting a new personal best for the series.

In this episode, Kang Tae-ju (played by Nam Goong-min) begins to investigate after raising suspicions about the hospital's process for selecting clinical research subjects. He launches an investigation after hearing that Kim Kyung-ae (played by Lee Sang-hee) applied for the clinical study but was rejected for being an ex-convict. With the help of Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol), Kang Tae-ju secures relevant documents and confirms that the list of major donors exactly matches the list of accepted applicants. He informed Kim Kyung-ae of the truth behind her rejection, saying, "It wasn't hope, it was money that was the criterion." He also pointed out that there was no record of her being an ex-convict on her application, raising the possibility that someone had fabricated it.

Meanwhile, Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung) receives a photo of the 3 billion won cash bag that disappeared from Kang Tae-ju's car, along with a message saying, 'Proceed with the original plan again.' He then purchased a hammer and cable ties from a hardware store and killed the store owner who had seen his wanted poster. At the end of the episode, while Kang Tae-ju was looking for Go Se-yoon, Noh Man-hee appeared before her holding a blood-stained hammer and said, "Long time no see, madam. Where is Chairman Kang?" maximizing the tension.

Separately, Kang Tae-ju was investigated by the police in connection with the death of Ha Jung-soo (played by Jeon Kwang-jin). Jang Do-sik (played by Lee Seok) revealed that the owner of the phone number that provided information about Kang Tae-ju's whereabouts on the day of Go Se-yoon's kidnapping was Ha Jung-soo, and Kim Kyung-ae confessed that Ha Jung-soo had ordered the kidnapping. Jang Do-sik suspected that the evidence was too concentrated on Ha Jung-soo, and a scene was also depicted where he confronted Cha Myung-hee (played by Cho Yoon-seo) as it was revealed that she was connected to Ha Jung-soo's death.

After the broadcast, viewers showed enthusiastic reactions to the tense development and the actors' performances. Episode 10 of 'The Perfect Wedding' will air on the 2nd at 9:20 PM.
