S-OIL successfully returned to profitability year-over-year, recording revenue of KRW 11.3435 trillion and operating profit of KRW 965 billion in its preliminary consolidated results for the second quarter of 2026.

According to S-OIL on the 3rd, the exact revenue for the second quarter was KRW 11.43488 trillion, and operating profit was KRW 965.015 billion. This represents a 26.8% increase in revenue compared to the previous quarter, while operating profit decreased by 21.6%. However, compared to the same period last year, revenue surged by 40.9%, achieving a sharp improvement in performance. During the same period, profit before income tax from continuing operations was KRW 705.483 billion, and net income was KRW 514.584 billion. Net income attributable to owners of the parent company was also recorded at KRW 514.584 billion.

The cumulative performance for the first half of the year (January to June) also successfully returned to profitability. Cumulative revenue for the first half of this year reached KRW 20.286177 trillion, and operating profit amounted to KRW 2.196093 trillion. Cumulative net income stood at KRW 1.235575 billion, with revenue increasing by 19.1% compared to the same period last year, while both operating profit and net income turned back to the black.

The company explained that these results are preliminary consolidated figures prepared in accordance with the Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) and may be subject to change following a review by an external auditor. Meanwhile, S-OIL is scheduled to hold a 'Q2 2026 Earnings Release Conference Call' at 10:00 a.m. today for domestic and international investors and analysts.
