Samsung Securities achieved strong results in the second quarter (April-June) of 2026, recording a consolidated operating profit of KRW 675.8 billion, up 119.0% year-on-year. Revenue (KRW 9.6639 trillion, up 111.6%) and net income (KRW 488.2 billion, up 108.1%) also surged together.

According to Samsung Securities on the 4th, the preliminary consolidated results based on Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) disclosed on the same day showed Q2 revenue of KRW 9.663857 trillion and operating profit of KRW 675.795 billion. This represents an increase of 35.7% in revenue and 10.9% in operating profit compared to the previous quarter.

During the same period, profit before income tax from continuing operations stood at KRW 669.664 billion, up 114.1% year-on-year. Net income (KRW 488.224 billion, up 108.1%) and net profit attributable to owners of the parent company (KRW 488.224 billion) also showed steady growth.

On a cumulative basis for the first half (January-June), the company achieved revenue of KRW 16.78657 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 1.285327 trillion. Profit before income tax from continuing operations was KRW 1.285129 trillion, and net income was KRW 939.08 billion. This represents year-on-year increases of 114.2% in revenue, 99.8% in operating profit, 98.3% in profit before income tax from continuing operations, and 94.4% in net income.

Samsung Securities explained that the revenue figure is the sum of commission income, interest income, gains on financial instruments at fair value through profit or loss, and other operating income. The company also noted that these results are preliminary figures subject to change through the external auditor's review process.
