Girl group LIGHTSUM is launching a full-scale push into the Japanese market. According to their agency, LIGHTSUM will officially kick off their local re-debut project through the Japanese ABEMA original documentary 'Re:Idol.' Premiering at 10 p.m. on the 9th, 'Re:Idol' is a seven-part documentary that chronicles LIGHTSUM's journey toward their Japanese re-debut as they mark their fifth debut anniversary. The members' concerns, growth, and the entire process of preparing for their local debut will be revealed sequentially every Sunday at 10 p.m. The program will capture the genuine transformation of the six members. Notably, actress Kwon So-hyun — a former member of 4MINUTE and a senior labelmate — will make an appearance, adding special significance. LIGHTSUM has consistently released a variety of music content, including unit digital singles, member cover songs, and self-composed tracks. In the second half of this year, they plan to accelerate their Japanese activities and global endeavors with 'Re:Idol' as a launching point. Photo provided by = ABEMA.
