ELSYS (264850) showed a sharp upward trend during the afternoon session on the 5th, triggering a Volatility Control (VI) mechanism.

According to the Korea Exchange, as of 2:12 PM on that day, ELSYS was trading at 6,070 won, up 1,040 won (20.68%) from the previous trading day.

As the stock price surged rapidly during the session, a static VI was triggered at 1:40:43 PM and lifted at 1:42:57 PM. With buying pressure intensifying in the afternoon, ELSYS recovered the 6,000-won level and saw its gains exceed 20%, demonstrating strong upward momentum.

Around the same time, the domestic stock market was also continuing its bullish trend. Both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ maintained their upward trajectories, and improved investor sentiment appeared to be amplifying volatility in individual stocks.

Market participants noted that the key point to watch going forward is whether buying interest will continue even after the VI is lifted, or if profit-taking sell orders will flood the market following the short-term surge.
