All Korean professional baseball games scheduled for the 5th have been canceled due to extreme heat.

In response, the KBO has acknowledged the situation in which safety risks to spectators and players have become a reality, and plans to comprehensively reconsider future operational guidelines and safety measures from scratch.

The KBO announced on the 5th, "An emergency executive committee meeting, attended by the general managers of the 10 clubs and officials from the Korea Professional Baseball Players Association, will be held on the 6th."

Additionally, the KBO explained that it has decided to fully cancel all professional baseball first and second division games scheduled for both the 5th and 6th until a specific comprehensive plan is established.
