The Equities Market Division announced that it triggered a buy-side Side Car on the securities market at 9:24:56 a.m. on August 5, 2026.

The measure was taken in response to a sharp surge in the price of futures (the highest-volume issue on the previous trading day) based on KOSPI 200 as the underlying asset. The futures price recorded 1,049.28 points, up 51.20 points (5.12%) from the reference price of 998.08 points.

As the futures price remained up more than 5% for over one minute, the validity of program buy orders on the securities market was suspended for five minutes. The measure was implemented pursuant to Article 16 of the Securities Market Business Regulations.
