Simtec recorded a significant improvement in earnings for the second quarter of this year. For the second half, the company projected it would achieve KRW 1.0719 trillion in revenue and KRW 163.1 billion in operating profit, based on the expansion of sales of high-value-added AI-related products.

Q2 Performance: Operating Profit Up 1,034%

Simtec announced its preliminary consolidated operating results for the second quarter of 2026 through a regulatory filing on the 5th. Revenue stood at KRW 514.565 billion, up 21.8% from the previous quarter and 51.0% from the same period last year. Operating profit reached KRW 62.89 billion, up 358.7% from the previous quarter and 1,034.4% from the same period last year.

Profit before income tax from continuing operations was KRW 60.181 billion, net income was KRW 44.945 billion, and net income attributable to owners of the parent company was KRW 44.776 billion, all turning to profit from a loss in the same period last year.

First-Half Cumulative: Turnaround from Operating Loss to Profit

On a cumulative first-half basis, the company recorded revenue of KRW 936.936 billion and operating profit of KRW 766.01 billion. Cumulative operating profit turned around from an operating loss of KRW 10.78 billion in the same period last year, and both cumulative net income and net income attributable to owners of the parent company also turned to profit.

Second-Half Outlook: Revenue of KRW 1.0719 Trillion, Operating Profit of KRW 163.1 Billion

Simtec also provided its consolidated performance forecast for the second half of 2026 through a voluntary disclosure. The company projected second-half revenue of KRW 1.0719 trillion (forecast range: KRW 1.0619 trillion to KRW 1.0819 trillion) and operating profit of KRW 163.1 billion (forecast range: KRW 158.1 billion to KRW 168.1 billion).

The company cited continued growth in products for System IC, full-scale growth in products for SOCAMM, and the expansion of operating profit driven by an improved mix of high-value-added AI products as the basis for the forecast.

However, the company explained that this forecast is an internal estimate based on market analysis and business plan targets for the second half of 2026, and actual results may differ depending on future changes in internal and external environments.
