Hanwha Engine (082740) saw a Volatility Interruption (VI) triggered as it showed a sharp upward trend during the afternoon session on the 5th.

According to the Korea Exchange, as of 1:57 p.m. on this day, Hanwha Engine's stock price was trading at 46,050 won, up 5,300 won (13.01%) from the previous trading day. As the stock price surged rapidly, a static VI was triggered at 1:55:36 p.m. and was lifted approximately two minutes later at 1:57:56 p.m.

With buying pressure concentrated on Hanwha Engine during the session, the stock broke through the 46,000 won level. The market is now watching closely to see whether the strong upward momentum will continue even after the VI was lifted.

At the same time, the domestic stock market was also maintaining an overall bullish trend. The KOSPI was up 279.06 points (4.38%) from the previous trading day at 6,638.01, while the KOSDAQ gained 17.37 points (2.22%) to record 798.09, both heading toward a joint positive close.
