OCI Holdings (010060) is drawing attention from stock market investors as it surged more than 10% during trading hours. As of 10:23 a.m. on the 5th, OCI Holdings was trading at 248,000 won, up 23,000 won (10.22%) from the previous trading day, riding a strong upward trend.

As a surge of buy orders from the early hours of trading sent the stock price soaring rapidly, the Volatility Interruption (VI) mechanism was triggered twice in a single day. According to the Korea Exchange, VI was triggered in the regular market at 9:42:49 a.m. and lifted at 9:44:59 a.m. Earlier, VI was also triggered in the pre-market alternative trading system (NXT) at 8:00 a.m., and was lifted after approximately two minutes.

On this day, the domestic stock market showed improved investor sentiment as both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ rose simultaneously. It is interpreted that amid this positive market atmosphere, strong buying pressure flowed into OCI Holdings, expanding its gains. Market attention is now focused on whether OCI Holdings can firmly defend the 240,000-won support level this month and secure additional upward momentum.
