CJ ENM will exclusively hold the wired and wireless broadcasting rights for the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) League for five years, from 2027 to 2031.

CJ ENM announced on the 6th through a regulatory filing that it has decided to enter into a contract with KBOP, a subsidiary of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), to secure the rights to the KBO League's wired and wireless broadcasting business from 2027 to 2031. The actual contract is scheduled to be signed by the end of August 2026, with the specific date to be finalized through mutual consultation between the parties.

Once the official contract is signed, CJ ENM will exclusively exercise the wired and wireless broadcast rights and video business rights for the KBO League for the next five years.

This exclusive contract covers all KBO League games, including ▲ exhibition games ▲ regular season ▲ postseason ▲ All-Star games, as well as various major events such as ▲ the KBO-organized rookie draft ▲ the KBO Awards ▲ the Golden Glove Awards.

However, broadcast services via Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) are excluded from this contract.

Additionally, at the request of the contracting party KBOP, CJ ENM withheld the disclosure of the contract amount, payment schedule, and key contract details on the grounds of maintaining trade secrets.
