LIG Defense & Aerospace announced its preliminary consolidated results for the second quarter of 2026 through a regulatory filing on the 6th.

According to the filing, LIG Defense & Aerospace's second-quarter revenue stood at KRW 1.1101 trillion, up 17.4% from KRW 945.4 billion in the same period last year. However, this represents a 4.9% decrease compared to the previous quarter's KRW 1.1679 trillion. Operating profit for the same period was recorded at KRW 105.7 billion. This is a 29.5% increase from the same period last year (KRW 81.6 billion), but a 38.2% decline compared to the previous quarter (KRW 171.1 billion).

Looking at the detailed results, profit from continuing operations before income tax expense was KRW 101.2 billion, down 42.8% from the previous quarter and 20.4% from the same period last year. Net income also fell to KRW 78.2 billion, down 42.3% from the previous quarter and 24.5% from the same period last year. Net income attributable to owners of the parent company was tallied at KRW 82.6 billion, representing a 41.0% decrease from the previous quarter and a 22.8% decrease from the same period last year.

On the other hand, the company maintained a solid trend on a cumulative first-half basis. First-half revenue was recorded at KRW 2.278 trillion and operating profit at KRW 276.8 billion, increases of 22.9% and 44.8%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. In addition, cumulative net income (KRW 213.6 billion) grew by 16.4% year-on-year, while cumulative net income attributable to owners of the parent company (KRW 222.5 billion) also rose by 17.5%.

The company stated that its order backlog totaled KRW 24.57 trillion as of the end of the second quarter of 2026. It added that these results are preliminary consolidated figures prepared in accordance with the Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) and may be subject to change following the accounting review by an external auditor.
