SK Square (402340) saw a Volatility Interruption (VI) triggered as it plunged under selling pressure.

According to the securities market on the 6th, a static VI was triggered for SK Square at 2:46:52 p.m. that day, and was lifted approximately two minutes later at 2:49:10 p.m.

The downward trend continued even after the VI was lifted. As of 2:58 p.m., SK Square was trading at 976,000 won, down 143,000 won (12.78%) from the previous trading day, with its intraday stock price falling below the 1 million won mark, drawing keen attention from investors.

At the same time, the two major indices showed mixed movements. The KOSPI closed at 6,304.74, down 293.52 points (4.44%) from the previous trading day, failing to shake off its weakness, while the KOSDAQ rose 5.77 points (0.72%) to 805.36, showing an upward trend.

In the KOSPI market that day, most of the top 10 stocks by market capitalization showed a weak trend, with the exception of LG Energy Solution and Samsung Biologics. As volatility expanded in the latter half of the session and SK Square's decline widened, market attention is focused on the future short-term supply and demand changes, the direction of investor sentiment, and the stock price movement through the closing price.
