Singer IU has shared an update through social media after temporarily halting her activities due to health issues, drawing attention by selecting a song from the band of her ex-boyfriend Jang Ki-ha.

On the 6th, IU posted several photos on her official SNS account along with short captions such as "Hi, it's been a while," "I'm living hard," and "My late birthday table too."

The revealed photos captured various moments, including resting in bed, receiving a birthday cake, behind-the-scenes cuts from a shoot, a meal scene, and a selfie taken inside a car. She shared even a near-bare-faced look without heavy makeup, communicating warmly with her fans.

This post is the first update since she postponed her Goyang Comprehensive Stadium concert and the release of her 6th full-length album due to the worsening of her Eustachian tube dysfunction. At the time, IU apologized to her fans, saying, "I feel really sorry for ruining the second half of 2026."

What particularly caught the eye in this post was not the photos but the background music. Along with the caption "I'm living hard," IU selected 'Byeol-il Eopsi Sanda' by Jang Ki-ha and the Faces as the background music.

Jang Ki-ha is IU's ex-boyfriend, with whom she began a public relationship in 2013 and dated for about four years before breaking up in 2017. Jang Ki-ha is currently in a public relationship with actress Yoon Ga-i, who is 18 years younger.

The fact that she included her ex-boyfriend's song in a post on her main account rather than a private account came as a surprise to fans.
