LG Uplus announced on the 6th that it recorded KRW 344.5 billion in consolidated operating profit for the second quarter of 2026, representing a 13.1% year-over-year growth.
Profitability Improves, Revenue Declines Slightly
Q2 revenue stood at KRW 3.6949 trillion, down 3.9% year-over-year. However, operating profit rose 13.1% to KRW 344.5 billion, and increased 26.5% compared to the previous quarter (KRW 272.3 billion).
Profit from continuing operations before income tax was KRW 315.1 billion, up 15.7% year-over-year and 41.6% quarter-over-quarter.
Net income was KRW 217.7 billion, increasing 0.3% year-over-year and 23.7% quarter-over-quarter. Net income attributable to owners of the parent company was KRW 219.7 billion, up 0.1% year-over-year and 24.2% quarter-over-quarter.
First-Half Cumulative Operating Profit Reaches KRW 616.7 Billion
Cumulative revenue for the first half was KRW 7.4987 trillion, down 1.2% year-over-year. Meanwhile, operating profit increased 10.1% to KRW 616.7 billion.
Profit from continuing operations before income tax recorded KRW 537.6 billion (up 13.7%), net income KRW 393.7 billion (up 3.7%), and net income attributable to owners of the parent company KRW 396.7 billion (up 3.0%).
Service Revenue Grows 2.0%
In a separate announcement, LG Uplus stated that consolidated service revenue (excluding device sales) for the second quarter of 2026 grew 2.0% year-over-year.
Meanwhile, the company plans to hold its Q2 2026 earnings conference call at 2 p.m. on the same day at the LG Uplus headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
