The South Korean men's 400m relay team will challenge for the first gold medal in Asian Games history at the Nagoya Asian Games.

With the addition of Biwesa, who returned from injury, to the existing core members — Joel-Jin, Seo Min-jun, and Lee Jae-sung — who won consecutive titles at last year's Asian Championships and Summer Universiade, the most formidable relay lineup in Korean track and field history has been assembled. The national team is simultaneously targeting two goals: breaking the Korean national record they set last year and winning the first-ever Asian Games 400m relay gold medal.

The key to increasing their chances of gold lies in the baton exchange. The athletes are training together daily, meticulously reviewing every fine movement through repetition and sweating it out to deliver a flawless race.

Joel-Jin and Biwesa were once rivals who competed for records in the individual 100m event. However, on the relay team, they have been reborn as teammates sharing the same boat. Joel-Jin vowed, "We came here with the same goal, so I will trust him and commit fully to our training." Biwesa also expressed confidence, saying, "Since we are on the same team, there is nothing to fear."

Regarding their baton exchange timing, Biwesa said, "Our coordination is so in sync that just by seeing the first step, I can tell when to raise my arm," indicating that the team's chemistry has already reached a near-complete stage.

Seo Min-jun expressed his ambition, saying, "I've been given a precious opportunity to compete, so I will give my absolute best in the environment I'm in to win a gold medal in Japan."
