The SBS entertainment program "The Story of That Day When Tails Wag Tails" (hereafter 'Kkokkomu') will present its first-ever history special set in the Joseon

The SBS entertainment program "The Story of That Day When Tails Wag Tails" (hereafter 'Kkokkomu') will present its first-ever history special set in the Joseon Dynasty.
This broadcast will be formatted as the 'History Special: Hongwi, Nosan, Danjong — In Search of the King's Name' episode, which highlights the life of Danjong. In particular, Director Jang Hang-jun of the film 'The Man Who Lives with the King' will make a spectacular return as a Kkokkomu storyteller after approximately six years, captivating viewers' ears.
Director Jang Hang-jun, who was active as a storyteller during the early days of Kkokkomu, will take the microphone in place of actor Jang Hyun-sung in this broadcast. The two previously collaborated on the film 'The Man Who Lives with the King' (abbreviated as 'Wangsanan') as director and actor, respectively. On this day, Director Jang Hang-jun plans to share various behind-the-scenes stories, from the reason he came to direct 'Wangsanan' to fascinating anecdotes about Danjong's life that could not be included in the film.
The cast is also rich. Lee Chae-yeong, a member of the girl group Fromis 9, will join as a first-time 'Kkokmuri,' and singer Jukjae will participate as a listener, adding to the immersion of the story.
The production team emphasized that this broadcast is Kkokkomu's first attempt at covering Joseon Dynasty history. They also expressed hope that it would become a meaningful historical journey for child and teenage viewers on their school break.
This broadcast begins with the story of Munjong, who was called 'Season 2 of King Sejong' as a thoroughly prepared ruler and garnered high expectations. It then delves deeply into the loneliness Danjong experienced after ascending to the throne at a young age, and the background behind it.
Subsequently, the episode introduces hidden events in history in turn: the power struggle in which Grand Prince Suyang joined forces with Han Myeong-hui to covet the throne, the loyalty of Kim Jong-seo, who tried to protect Danjong until the end, the death of Grand Prince Geumsung, the story behind the 'Yoo Hae-jin Pine Tree' in Yeongwol, and the story of Eom Heung-do, who recovered Danjong's remains.
Kkokkomu airs every Thursday at 10:20 PM on SBS.
