GS Retail announced on the 7th through a regulatory filing that its consolidated preliminary results for the second quarter of 2026 recorded revenue of 3.1751 trillion won and operating income of 109.407 billion won. Revenue and operating income increased by 6.7% and 27.5% year-on-year, respectively. Profit before corporate tax from continuing operations rose 389.5% to 90.576 billion won. Net income reached 64.649 billion won (+354.5% YoY), while net income attributable to owners of the parent company recorded 65.172 billion won (+326.6% YoY).

■ Broad Improvement Compared to Previous Quarter The trend of earnings improvement continued even when compared to the immediately preceding quarter. Revenue increased by 11.2% and operating income by 87.7%. Profit before corporate tax from continuing operations, net income, and net income attributable to owners of the parent company rose by 52.9%, 52.1%, and 51.3%, respectively.

■ First-Half Cumulative Operating Income of 167.6 Billion Won On a first-half cumulative basis, the company achieved revenue of 6.030019 trillion won and operating income of 167.681 billion won. Revenue increased by 5.3% and operating income by 31.4% compared to the same period last year. Net income surged 463.0% to 107.151 billion won, and net income attributable to owners of the parent company increased 391.8% to 108.234 billion won.

■ "Preliminary Results Pending External Audit" GS Retail explained that these results are preliminary figures that have not yet undergone an accounting audit by an external auditor. The company also added that the results for the second and first quarters of 2026, as well as the second quarter of 2025, reflect profit and loss from discontinued operations due to the cessation of business by certain subsidiaries.
