In the KBS web show 'Kebaeksu Original - Donseontae's Era of Success,' broadcast on the 31st of last month, Kim Seon-tae brought up the dialect controversy surrounding Risenseu Won-i's phrase 'Museopno' (Isn't it scary?) and asked sensitive questions. In particular, he raised suspicions that the controversy might be a form of 'viral marketing,' drawing criticism from netizens for secondary victimization. Furthermore, the thumbnail featured the phrase 'What's so scary?' alongside a list of names of figures unrelated to the controversy — including Lee Jae-myung, Hong Myung-bo, Lee Jae-yong, Choi Tae-won, NewJeans, and Han Dong-hoon — sparking additional backlash. As the controversy escalated, the video was set to private, and KBS issued an official statement.

Amid mounting criticism, Kim Seon-tae took full responsibility, stepped down from the program, and issued a formal apology.

On the 7th, Kim Seon-tae uploaded a short video titled 'Kim Seon-tae Update' to his YouTube channel. The approximately eight-to-nine-second video showed him sitting on the floor of a room with no furniture. Trash, including soju bottles and tissues, was scattered around him, and he appeared with unkempt stubble and slippers placed in front of him. In the video, he stared blankly into space with an unfocused expression and muttered, "It's lonely."

This video marks Kim Seon-tae's first public appearance since his apology and departure from the show. The video, which concluded briefly without any particular explanation, is heavily imbued with a gaunt appearance and a self-deprecating atmosphere.
