Naver closed sharply lower on the 7th as investor sentiment contracted following its earnings announcement. While the 210,000-won level gave way, the stock held the psychologically important 200,000-won support line.

According to the Korea Exchange, Naver closed at 210,000 won, down 16,000 won (7.08%) from the previous trading day. As the bearish trend continued throughout the session, investors increasingly adopted a wait-and-see attitude.

Previously, Naver announced its preliminary second-quarter earnings on a consolidated basis, posting revenue of 3.3888 trillion won and operating profit of 520.3 billion won. Revenue increased 16.2% year-on-year, but operating profit decreased by 0.2%.

The overall weakness of the domestic stock market on the day is also interpreted as having weighed on investor sentiment. Both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ closed lower, with profit-taking continuing mainly in some large-cap technology stocks.

Market attention is now focused on the direction of the stock price next week. Whether the 200,000-won level will continue to serve as short-term support or whether an influx of buying will lead to a rebound is the key point to watch. Attention is concentrated on whether the stock will show further correction or rebound from current levels.
