OCI Holdings Surges 11.68%: Will It Challenge the 300,000 Won Level vs. Face Correction... Market on 'High Alert' Over Stock Price Direction
CBC News

As OCI Holdings surged on the 7th, raising expectations for a recovery to the 300,000 won level, market attention is focused on whether the stock will secure additional upward momentum in the new trading week or enter a short-term correction.

In the regular trading session on the 7th, OCI Holdings closed at 272,500 won, up 28,500 won (11.68%) from the previous trading day. During the session, it soared to as high as 289,000 won, bringing the 300,000 won level within close reach.

OCI Holdings had previously recorded five consecutive sessions of gains from July 30 to August 5, before taking a breather in the August 6 session and then turning back to a sharp upward trajectory on the 7th.

A key focal point during this trading week is how smoothly the stock can absorb the selling pressure associated with its recent sharp gains. In particular, given that it approached the 300,000 won level during intraday trading, whether it will test this level again serves as a crucial indicator for gauging future stock price momentum.

Meanwhile, on a consolidated basis, OCI Holdings reported revenue of 1.02318 trillion won, operating profit of 108.062 billion won, and net profit of 60.643 billion won for the second quarter of this year.
