The 100-year life of Nora Noh, South Korea's first fashion designer and a living witness to the fashion industry, will be illuminated in a documentary. From the era of hanbok jeogori to her collaboration with global superstars BTS, her journey alongside roughly a century of Korean fashion history will be introduced through the EBS documentary series 'Witness to the Era.'

Airing on July 9 at 9:10 p.m. on EBS, 'Witness to the Era' will take an in-depth look at Nora Noh's dramatic life and achievements. The production team emphasized that Noh is a pioneer who holds the title of 'first' in various fields, including hosting Korea's first fashion show, serving as a stage costume director, producing ready-to-wear clothing, and expanding into the United States.

The broadcast will also reveal the behind-the-scenes story of designing the miniskirt outfit worn by singer Yoon Bok-hee, which became a symbol of freedom and rebellion. Yoon Bok-hee shared a wedding anecdote tied to a white velvet mini wedding dress created by Nora Noh, expressing her deep affection by saying, 'For tailored clothes, I have only ever worn Nora Noh's designs.'

In addition, Jang Myung-soo, former president of the Hankook Ilbo and the first female CEO of a South Korean media company, highly praised Nora Noh as 'an important part of Korean women's history.' The episode also features contemporaries including designer Jung Ku-ho, Lee Young-hee, vice president of the Korea Textile News, and Bae In-soon of the Pearl Sisters, who offer glowing praise for Noh's accomplishments.

The production team highlights various episodes, including the story of Noh challenging herself to study fashion in the United States — a first for a South Korean — after deciding to divorce. Historical moments that have adorned Korean fashion history will be revealed through the broadcast, including her first fashion show where customers served as models during a time when fashion was still barren, the outfit worn by Miss Korea Oh Hyun-ju at the 1950s Miss Universe pageant, and the day clothing was exported to the United States for the first time.
