A "buy-side circuit breaker," which temporarily suspends the effect of program buy orders, was triggered in the KOSDAQ market.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 10th, a temporary suspension of program buy orders (sidecar) was triggered in the KOSDAQ market at 9:50:48 a.m. that day.
At the time of activation, the KOSDAQ 150 futures price stood at 1,458.60, up 83.30 points (6.05%) from the previous day's close of 1,375.30. The KOSDAQ 150 spot index was at 1,453.97, up 85.63 points (6.25%) from the previous day's close of 1,368.34.
Accordingly, the effect of program buy orders was suspended for the next five minutes due to the change in futures prices and the spot index. The legal basis is Article 13 of the KOSDAQ Market Business Regulations and Article 14 of its Enforcement Detailed Rules.
