Singer Shin Yu appeared on MBN's 'Rediscovery of Home-Cooked Meals: Altoran' and showcased her healthy daily routine and cooking skills.

On the broadcast, Shin Yu demonstrated her morning exercise routine, healthy diet, and disciplined lifestyle, showing that she does not neglect self-care despite her busy schedule. She also shared restaurant recommendations, food tips, and personal stories over a meal with Denian, displaying her friendly charm.

She also shared behind-the-scenes stories as a judge on a trot competition program. Shin Yu revealed that she was a soccer player from the fourth grade of elementary school through her second year of high school, and after quitting soccer, she debuted as a ballad singer through winning a singing competition and participating in a drama OST. She began her career as a trot singer in 2008 after completing her military service, explaining that trot was not a popular genre at the time. In particular, she expressed pride in being the first singer to create a fandom culture in the trot scene.

In the cooking segment, she introduced a recipe for 'stir-fried chicken breast stew' and even showed off her singing skills while cooking, drawing viewers' attention. Regarding her son, she said, 'Even if he wants to become a singer, I won't stop him, but knowing the difficulties of being a singer, I wouldn't recommend it.' She added that when she debuted, her father actively supported her, but her mother opposed it due to her own difficult experiences.
