'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has surpassed a cumulative audience of 6 million, rising to second place in this year's overall box office.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated box office network, the film surpassed a cumulative audience of 6 million as of 10:20 a.m. on the 10th. This edged out the previous second-place holder, director Yeon Sang-ho's 'Jungi' (5,952,602 admissions). This year's box office leader is 'The Man Who Lives with the King,' which has recorded 16.91 million admissions.

The speed at which it crossed 6 million is noteworthy. It achieved the record in just 13 days since its release, a full five days faster than when 'Spring in Seoul' reached the same milestone (on its 18th day of release).

Over the second weekend's three days (the 3rd), it drew 1.26 million viewers. It ranked second at the weekend box office, following director Christopher Nolan's 'Odyssey,' which attracted 1.33 million over the same period.

Alongside the 6 million milestone, it is also approaching the records of previous installments in the series. It is on a steady trajectory toward the performances of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' (7.25 million) and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (7.55 million).

Released on the 29th of last month, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' was directed by Destin Cretton. It stars Tom Holland, Zendaya Coleman, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo.

The fourth installment in the series, affectionately known as 'Tom's Spidey,' depicts the story of a Peter Parker forgotten by everyone as he faces a mysterious enemy who remembers his true identity, and the events that unfold when he gains uncontrollable power due to a DNA mutation.
