Prime Minister Han Seung-sook issued an urgent directive to mobilize all available resources to locate and rescue three individuals who lost contact after going fishing on a motorboat off the coast of Incheon. According to the Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Han received a situation report the previous evening and immediately emphasized to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Coast Guard that saving lives must be the top priority. She specifically called for cooperation with patrol vessels and nearby fishing boats, and actively requested personnel and equipment support from the Ministry of National Defense, Incheon Metropolitan City, and other relevant agencies. She also instructed that all necessary measures be taken to ensure the safety of rescue workers on site. The missing persons case was reported via a 112 emergency call received at 10:30 p.m. on the 10th. The caller reportedly contacted the Coast Guard out of concern for a possible accident, stating that they had lost contact with their husband and two acquaintances who had gone fishing on a 0.28-ton motorboat. The last phone conversation with the missing individuals was confirmed to have taken place at 7:10 p.m. the previous day. The Coast Guard has urgently dispatched rescue teams, patrol vessels, and aircraft to the waters near Jawol-do in Ongjin County, where the missing individuals are believed to have been fishing, and is rapidly searching a wide area. In addition, the Coast Guard has requested the Navy and civilian vessels operating in the vicinity to immediately report any sightings of the missing persons or the motorboat, as authorities wage an all-out effort for a swift rescue.
