The 'Whale Cart,' the signature attraction at Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village, will operate at night to coincide with the summer vacation season, Liberation Day holiday, and Horror Festival. The Ulsan Nam-gu Urban Management Corporation announced on the 10th that it will extend cart operating hours so that visitors can safely enjoy the sunset and night views over the waters off Jangsaengpo.

The nighttime operation will run for three days from the 14th to the 16th. After the daytime operation ends at 6:00 p.m., a 30-minute safety inspection of the facilities and tracks will be conducted, and night rides will be available from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be issued only until 7:30 p.m.

To enhance safety, the maximum nighttime speed has been significantly reduced from the daytime limit of 40 km/h to 22 km/h. This aims to reduce the risk of collisions between carts while allowing riders to enjoy the nighttime scenery of Jangsaengpo at a leisurely pace.

Lee Chun-sil, chairperson of the Ulsan Nam-gu Urban Management Corporation, said, "We have arranged this extended nighttime operation to help visitors create special summer memories," adding, "We will continue to develop unique nighttime experience programs that are exclusive to the Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Special Zone."
