Broadcaster Ham So-won has been discharged from the hospital after receiving about two months of inpatient treatment for a pelvic fracture sustained in a collision with a utility pole.

In June, Ham was involved in an accident in which she collided with a utility pole while operating the parking brake on a downhill road. She suffered a pelvic fracture in the accident and underwent emergency surgery, after which she was hospitalized for about two months to focus on her treatment.

On August 11, Ham shared her devastating feelings at the time of the accident through her social media. She stated that she had collapsed on the ground and could not get up, and that her body would not respond when she tried to move her legs. She recalled looking up at the sky and seeing her daughter, Hye-jeong, crying and calling out "Mom" while asking neighbors for help.

She explained that while being transported to the hospital in a 119 ambulance, she had a premonition that she was seriously injured and in a very dangerous situation. Ham said she desperately prayed not to pass away before her 9-year-old daughter and 77-year-old mother. She lost consciousness while praying, and added that upon arriving at the hospital, she felt extremely cold and in pain, with her consciousness fading in and out.

After staying in the hospital for ten days short of two months, Ham said that returning home after discharge made her everyday life feel like a dream. Reflecting on her 50 years of life, she shared that all the moments — marriage and love, the day she gave birth to her child, acting and the stage, and her broadcasting activities — were sweet and happy.

Meanwhile, Ham married Chinese national Jin Hua, who is 18 years her junior, in 2018 and had her daughter, Hye-jeong, but divorced in 2022. She is currently raising her 9-year-old daughter and caring for her 77-year-old mother on her own. Lastly, she expressed her gratitude to her fans.
