People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk strongly criticized the Lee Jae-myung administration, arguing that despite branding itself as a "people's sovereignty government," it has in effect brought about a "government that abandons its people." Jang made these remarks on the 10th during a Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly, targeting the administration's real estate and financial policies as well as its housing measures for young people.

Jang claimed that although President Lee Jae-myung had previously stated that policies harming people's lives are worse than having no policy at all, policies that the public opposes and that cause harm are being pursued one after another. He added that both the government and the ruling party are only pushing harder on policies that the public opposes.

In particular, Jang called for the immediate dismissal of Kim Yong-beom, the Blue House Policy Office chief. He also strongly demanded a parliamentary investigation and the appointment of a special counsel regarding the single-asset leveraged exchange-traded fund (ETF) issue.

Regarding financial policy, Jang referenced the controversy over the reduction of benefits for Individual Savings Accounts (ISA). He pointed out that even though the administration is pushing to reduce ISA benefits, the president belatedly asked "Why was this done?" as if it were someone else's problem. He noted that this is not something the president should be saying to the administration, but rather an issue that the public should be demanding answers for from the president.

Jang also escalated his criticism toward the administration and the ruling party on the issue of housing for young people. He pointed out that the real estate market is already struggling due to various regulations and loan controls, yet only now has the president announced plans to eliminate the "marriage penalty." Furthermore, regarding the proposal to utilize abandoned buses as a housing supply measure for young people, he retorted, "Are you telling young people to give up on their future?"

He said such policy remarks are making a mockery of young people and deceiving the public, sarcastically suggesting that "the Democratic Party headquarters and Democratic Party lawmakers' offices should be the first to move into abandoned buses." Finally, Jang raised fundamental issues with the administration's overall approach to state affairs, reiterating that this government is not a people's sovereignty government but a "government that abandons its people."
