On the 5th, it was confirmed that Jeju Air's flight reservation information was exposed to the public through the Naver search engine and Jeju Air's official website. As a result of this incident, the names and passport numbers of approximately 100 customers were leaked.

According to an aviation industry official, a phenomenon occurred where entering 'Jeju Air' and a specific flight number into the Naver search bar would expose some reservers' names and passport numbers in the search results. Although only part of the passport number was visible in the search results, it was found that the entire passport number could be viewed if the user clicked the link and accessed Jeju Air's official website.

Immediately after the issue occurred, Jeju Air took action to block the webpage in question. Two days later, on the 7th, the airline officially reported the incident to the Personal Information Protection Commission. The total number of affected customers was tallied at approximately 100.

Currently, Jeju Air is individually contacting affected customers to inform them of the personal data leak and subsequent measures. Additionally, the airline has decided to fully cover the costs of reissuing passports for the affected customers and plans to provide an additional compensation of 100,000 won per person.
