Korea Steel has signed a main contract worth approximately KRW 2.5 billion with Samsung Heavy Industries for the supply of shipbuilding equipment.

Korea Steel announced through a regulatory filing on the 11th that it had signed a contract to supply "stern steel castings (Stern Boss, Rudder Hub Casting, etc.)" to Samsung Heavy Industries.

◆ Contract Details The contract amount is KRW 2,556,494,502, exclusive of value-added tax (VAT). The sales and supply region is Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, and the contract period runs from August 10, 2026, to November 25, 2028. There is no separate down payment or advance payment, and payments will be billed and made according to the actual progress of orders.

◆ Proportion of Revenue and Future Schedule Korea Steel explained that this disclosure follows the confirmation of a portion of the main contract based on a previously signed supply agreement. For the remaining quantity for which a contract has not yet been signed, the company plans to make additional disclosures when the main contract is finalized.

In terms of financial impact, this contract amount accounts for 6.41% of Korea Steel's most recent total revenue (KRW 39,872,284,084) based on its financial statements as of the end of 2025. Additionally, based on 2025 steel casting segment revenue (KRW 22,046,677,666), it represents a significant order accounting for a high proportion of 11.60%.
