Actress and singer-songwriter Lou Lou Safran has revealed her special affection for Korean music.

On the 12th, Rolling Stone Korea released an exclusive interview and pictorial conducted to commemorate the release of Lou Lou Safran's debut album.

Safran, who gained recognition as an actress appearing in films such as 'Annabelle: Creation' and 'Superman,' introduced her musical journey and creative philosophy in this interview, from the story of writing her first song as a child to completing her first full-length album.

Debut Album: A Coming-of-Age Narrative Rooted in Classic Rock

Safran's debut album is a work that portrays the journey of breaking free from childhood innocence and finding one's true self through a classic rock-based sound. The album includes 'Change,' the title track 'Runaway' inspired by her mother's childhood in Poland, and 'Boys' Club,' which captures the realities she faced as a female artist working in the Los Angeles (LA) music scene.

She also shared her experience working with producers Desmond Child and Steven Van Zandt. Safran said, "Even if genres and styles differ, the power that makes music universal always lies in 'honesty,'" expressing her hope that her music would resonate with genuine sincerity.

Interest in Korean Rock Music and Willingness to Collaborate

Safran also actively expressed her interest in Korean music. She likened the relationship between Korean artists and their global fandom to 'a new generation of Beatlemania,' stating that she is keeping an eye on Korean rock music. In particular, she mentioned that she enjoys listening to Korean rock legend Shin Jung-hyun, as well as FTISLAND and DAY6.

She continued, "I would like to work with Yoon Min of the band Touched and artist EJAE," expressing her willingness to collaborate with Korean musicians.

She also conveyed her anticipation for visiting Korea. Safran said, "It is my dream to visit Korea soon and experience the unique Korean music scene firsthand."
