Large-scale stadium concerts by BigBang and Lim Young-woong will be held at Goyang Sports Complex over August and September. With both concerts recording full sellouts, Goyang Special City is making every effort to alleviate traffic congestion and ensure the safety of attendees.

According to Goyang Special City, the group BigBang's 20th debut anniversary world tour, 'BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR IN GOYANG,' will be held at Goyang Sports Complex for three days from August 21 to 23. This tour, which marks BigBang's first stage as a complete group in nine years, has completely sold out all seats, including additional ones.

Following this, singer Lim Young-woong's 'IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2' concert will take place at the same venue for three days from September 4 to 6. This has also sold out all seats, proving his immense popularity.

■ Customized Safety Measures Established with Organizers... Rest Areas and Medical Centers Significantly Expanded

Goyang Special City has established safety measures to prepare for various emergencies, including extreme heat, massive crowds, and traffic congestion, and has collaborated with concert organizers to formulate detailed plans.

YG Entertainment, the organizer of the BigBang concert, will expand rest areas and operational booths for attendees in preparation for extreme heat conditions and emergencies, and will secure sufficient temporary medical centers. Mulgogi Music, the organizer of Lim Young-woong's concert, will increase the number of guidance staff compared to previous events to assist with attendee movement and seating, and will intensively strengthen safety management by providing rest areas and beverages inside the venue and deploying emergency response personnel.

■ Transportation Measures Prepared, Including Shuttle Bus Service from GTX-A Kintex Station

On the 6th, Goyang Special City held a '2026 Second Half Large-Scale Concert Administrative Support Measures Briefing' chaired by Mayor Min Kyung-sun, reviewing safety and transportation cooperation systems with relevant agencies, including the police, fire department, and Korea Railroad Corporation.

The city plans to operate an on-site command center on concert days and launch a comprehensive response system in cooperation with the police and fire departments, including deploying traffic police, securing emergency vehicle lanes, cracking down on illegal parking and street vendors, and dispersing audience exit routes.

In particular, to alleviate traffic congestion, shuttle buses will operate between GTX-A Kintex Station and Goyang Sports Complex. Additionally, nearby residents will be notified of the concert schedules in advance to minimize inconvenience to their daily lives, and a duty office will be operated during the event period to respond promptly to nighttime and weekend complaints.

Goyang Special City Mayor Min Kyung-sun emphasized, "We plan to operate shuttle buses to reduce congestion before and after the concerts, and to establish a cooperation system among the organizers, Goyang City, the police, and the fire department through the on-site command center." He added, "With the best administrative support, we will leave a positive impression of Goyang City and continue to attract large-scale concerts in the future."
