HLB (028300) closed slightly higher in the regular trading session on the 14th, ahead of the weekend and a substitute holiday. HLB ended the day's trading at 43,150 won, up 400 won (0.94%) from the previous trading day. Although the gain itself was modest, the stock weathered intraday ups and downs to finish the session in positive territory.

Buying interest flowed not only into HLB but also into its group affiliates. HLB Pharmaceutical, HLB Life Science, and HLB Therapeutics all closed higher in the regular session that day, with group shares showing broad strength. In particular, HLB Therapeutics finished trading at 2,410 won, up 1.26%.

HLB group shares have recently shown sensitive price movements in response to news related to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval process for rivoceranib. Indeed, last month the group stocks plunged after the company received an FDA Complete Response Letter (CRL), only to surge in tandem as expectations grew that issues related to the cGMP inspection of its manufacturing facility had been largely resolved.

On the 18th, the first trading day after the holiday break, attention is expected to center on whether HLB can extend its mildly positive trend and whether the group shares will gain further momentum.
