Domestic nuclear power-related stocks showed clearly divergent movements on a stock-by-stock basis during the regular trading session on the 14th. Doosan Enerbility, Woory Technology, and KEPCO E&C closed higher, while Orbitech and Woojin ended trading in negative territory.

▲ Gainers... Doosan Enerbility Up 2.10%

Doosan Enerbility closed at 82,600 won, up 2.10% from the previous trading day. Woory Technology rose 1.61% to 11,950 won, and KEPCO E&C climbed 1.60% to 1,014,000 won.

Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) gained 0.75% to 33,350 won, KEPCO KPS rose 0.10% to 46,250 won, and Soosan Industries increased 0.21% to 23,000 won. Geumhwa PSC jumped 3.16% to 34,250 won, recording the largest gain among that day's advancing stocks.

▲ Losers... Woojin Down 5.37%

In contrast, some stocks came under selling pressure. Woojin fell 5.37% to 14,430 won, while Orbitech dropped 3.65% to 5,010 won and Woojin Entech declined 3.05% to 15,210 won.

In effect, nuclear power stocks displayed a differentiated, stock-specific market trend rather than moving uniformly in the same direction.

▲ Background... TerraPower's Visit to Korea and SMR Contract

Recently, domestic nuclear power stocks have been drawing investors' attention following TerraPower Board Chairman Bill Gates' visit to Korea. In particular, Doosan Enerbility announced that it had signed a contract with U.S. nuclear company TerraPower to manufacture core equipment for small modular reactors (SMRs).

Attention is now focused on how nuclear power-related stocks, including Doosan Enerbility, Woory Technology, and Orbitech, will perform when the domestic stock market reopens after the holiday. Whether the differentiated trend among individual stocks will continue is expected to be a key point to watch.
