'National Singing Contest' is opening its stage at Jemulpo Port in Incheon for the first time.

The Jemulpo Port edition of 'National Singing Contest,' KBS 1TV's flagship entertainment program, marks the first regional event held since the administrative reorganization of Incheon Metropolitan City and will be broadcast on August 16 at 12:10 p.m. A total of 16 teams will appear in the main round, presenting diverse stories and unique personalities.

The lineup of contestants features distinctive participants, including a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law duo who harmonize like a mother and daughter, and a 16-year-old boy who sings classic songs from the 1930s LP era. Adding to the excitement, masters of Jemulpo's traditional spontaneous dance, known as makchum, served as judges, further heightening the atmosphere at the venue.

The congratulatory performance stage is also rich with acts. Trot singer Kim Da-na opened the show with 'Such a Good Day,' followed by Bin Ye-seo's performance of 'The Best Taryeong.' Park Hyun-ho then captivated the audience with 'Let's Go for a Drink,' while Moon Yeon-joo delivered a seasoned performance with 'Young Master.' Finally, Park Seo-jin wrapped up the event with a passionate rendition of 'The One I Fell for at First Sight.'

Notably, Bin Ye-seo, who won the Top Excellence Award and the Grand Prize at the year-end finals in the 2022 Namhae County edition, and Park Hyun-ho, who married trot singer Eun Ga-eun and is currently balancing parenting with his singing career, took the stage as guest singers, drawing an enthusiastic response from the audience.
