Jeju Semiconductor (080220) failed to hold on to its early strength in the regular session on the 14th, closing sharply lower. During the session, the 80,000-won level briefly collapsed, but the stock managed to defend it by the close. Attention is now focused on how the stock will move in the session on the 18th, after the holiday.

■ Intraday Swing Exceeds 10,000 Won... Volatility Expands

On this day, Jeju Semiconductor started strongly, climbing as high as 91,000 won in early trading. However, after giving back all of its gains, the stock turned to decline, and volatility expanded. The intraday low fell to 79,200 won, breaking below the 80,000-won level.

Nevertheless, after bottoming out, the stock recovered part of its losses and ultimately closed at 81,500 won. This marks a decline of 6,800 won (-7.70%) from the previous trading day. With the gap between the intraday high (91,000 won) and the intraday low (79,200 won) exceeding 10,000 won, the daily price swing was assessed as relatively large.

■ Will It Rebound on the 18th?... Attention Also on Post-Holiday Market Trends

Interest is gathering around Jeju Semiconductor's movement on the 18th, when the domestic stock market reopens after the holiday break. It remains to be seen whether the stock will use the 80,000-won level it defended this time as a springboard for a rebound, or whether the volatile market conditions will persist.

As both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ indices closed higher on the 14th, attention is also focused on the overall direction of the domestic stock market when it reopens after the holiday.
