The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) will be held across Busan from August 21 to 30. Ahead of the opening, the organizer, the Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee, announced the performance lineup for the first week. Comedy teams from home and abroad will participate, and various stages have been prepared, including the flagship open comedy program 'Gag Concert,' along with 'Double' and 'Mime de Rien.'

'Kim Hak-rae and Lee Yong-shik's Daehwanjang Talk Show' will illuminate the history of Korean comedy through behind-the-scenes stories of the late Goo Bong-seo. 'The Jeon Yu-seong Show Without Jeon Yu-seong' is prepared as a special stage commemorating the late Jeon Yu-seong. Juniors including Lee Hong-ryeol, Shin Bong-seon, Kim Shin-young, and Zoltan (Lee Jae-hyung, Han Hyun-min, Jung Jin-wook) will participate in talks, shows, and skits, offering laughter and emotion to the audience.

Veteran comedians including Park Young-jin, Park Jun-hyung, Park Sung-ho, and Jung Beom-gyun will appear on the 'Gag Concert' stage. Special corners not broadcast on television will also be presented.

'B-Grade Hearing,' featuring Choi Sung-min, Nam Ho-yeon, and Kim Seung-jin, will recreate a popular talk show with about 500,000 subscribers on stage. It promises lively laughter with witty banter and special guest combinations.

Legendary corners of Korean open comedy will be showcased once again. 'Galgari Gag Concert: The Return of the Legends' will recreate legendary corners marking their 30th anniversary, including 'Galgari Three Brothers,' 'Regional Dialects of Life,' 'Ubi Three Siblings,' 'Mabang-i,' and 'Bongsonga Academy.' The mime performance 'Woo Seok-hoon Comedy Omnibus,' transcending linguistic barriers, will offer a distinctive touch with 12 short mime pieces.

As overseas performances, 'Double,' featuring FISM world magic champion Norbert Ferré, European magic champion Charlie Magee, and comedy magician Kim Min-hyung, and French visual comedian Patrick Cottet Moine's 'MIME DE RIEN' are prepared.

The Busan International Comedy Festival is Asia's first international comedy festival and has contributed to spreading comedy culture and expanding citizens' opportunities to enjoy culture for 14 years. Since 2024, it has been pursuing a comedy talent development program in cooperation with local universities, aiming to build comedy infrastructure, including the creation of a dedicated comedy theater. It is also working to foster an environment for producing and distributing comedy content within Busan.
