The KOSDAQ closed higher in the regular session on the 20th, reclaiming the 840 level. During the session, it even reached the 850 level.

The KOSDAQ index finished trading at 840.89, up 16.43 points (1.99%) from the previous trading day. Eight of the top 10 stocks by market capitalization rose, supporting the index's gains.

Leading stock Alteogen stood out with a strong performance. Alteogen closed at 339,500 won, surging 36,000 won (11.86%) from the previous session and recording a double-digit gain.

EcoPro finished trading at 88,100 won, up 1,900 won (2.20%), while EcoPro BM rose 4,300 won (3.92%) to close at 114,100 won.

Rainbow Robotics rose 1.95% to 471,500 won, and Jusung Engineering climbed 3.32% to 177,300 won. Wonik IPS also closed up 4.21% at 113,900 won.

Rino Industrial ended the session up 2.36% at 69,500 won, and ABL Bio rose 3.51% to 82,500 won. Eotechnics closed unchanged at 415,000 won.

In contrast, HLB was the only decliner among the top 10 stocks by market capitalization. HLB finished trading at 39,900 won, down 2,200 won (5.23%) from the previous session, falling below the 40,000-won level.

Attention is focused on whether the KOSDAQ, which reclaimed the 840 level as most top-cap stocks rose, can sustain its upward momentum going forward.
