Attention is focused on whether Doosan Enerbility (034020) can stage a rebound next week, ending its stock price correction after four consecutive sessions of decline. The key point to watch is which direction investor sentiment will take starting on the 24th.

■ Closes at 73,300 Won on the 21st... Clear Weakness Despite KOSPI Rise

On the 21st, Doosan Enerbility closed at 73,300 won on the KRX regular session, down 2,600 won (3.43%) from the previous trading day. The stock has fallen for four consecutive sessions since the 18th, showing a short-term downtrend. The decline stood out compared to the KOSPI's 0.88% rise the same day.

However, given the recent volatility, it is difficult to determine the direction for next week based solely on last week's movements. The market is also watching the company's business performance alongside the stock's trajectory.

■ 928.1 Billion Won Independent Power Plant Contract in Oman... Eyes on Earnings Momentum

Doosan Enerbility recently signed a construction contract for an independent power project in the Misfah area of Oman. The contract value is approximately 928.1 billion won, equivalent to 5.4% of its most recent consolidated revenue as of the end of 2025. The contract period runs from August 20, 2026 to April 1, 2029, according to the regulatory filing.

There are also notable points in terms of earnings. The company's recently announced preliminary consolidated revenue for the second quarter of this year was 4.7248 trillion won, up 3% year-on-year, while operating profit rose 16% to 314.3 billion won. Cumulative first-half operating profit came to 547.8 billion won, up 32% from the same period last year. Attention is also focused on what trend the third quarter will show.

■ UBS and Citi IR Scheduled Next Week... Direction at 70,000-Won Level in Focus

IR schedules are also planned for next week. Doosan Enerbility will attend the 'UBS Korea Summit 2026' on the 24th and participate in 'Citi's 2026 Korea Investor Conference' on the 27th. The company plans to explain its second-quarter 2026 business results to major institutional investors and hold a Q&A session.

As the stock fell to as low as 72,400 won intraday on the last trading day of last week, attention is on whether it will recover its losses and rebound after the 24th, or whether the correction phase will continue a bit longer. In addition, external variables such as major U.S. economic indicators and global stock market trends next week could affect overall investor sentiment in the domestic market, so these should be watched together.

It remains to be seen whether Doosan Enerbility can break its recent streak of declines and carve out a new direction next week.
