A commemorative event celebrating OBS's first Korean broadcast of the Chinese drama 'Deep in Wumeng Mountain' was held on the afternoon of the 24th at Le Méridien Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul.

EBS Business Center Director Seo Dong-won and Wu Zhaoping, CEO of Wu Zhaoping Pictures Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony and posed for photos afterward.

The event was organized to mark the official domestic broadcast of the work while introducing the beautiful natural environment and unique culture of China's Guizhou region, the drama's main setting, and to reaffirm the significance of cultural and artistic exchange between Korea and China.

The released trailer highlighted the beautiful scenery of Guizhou and the authentic lives of ordinary people living there. Capturing a warm perspective on family and neighbors, the work conveyed a message of empathy and solidarity transcending borders, stating that "good works have the power to connect people's hearts across language and national boundaries."

At the event, OBS CEO Kim Hak-gyun shared his thoughts, saying, "I hope that with this broadcast as an opportunity, China's beautiful nature and culture will become more widely known in Korea, beyond just the drama," and added, "I hope opportunities for exchange will expand, where actors and production crews from both Korea and China understand each other and create new stories together."

Wu Zhaoping, CEO of Wu Zhaoping Pictures Co., Ltd., responded, "I hope today's gathering will be the beginning of a precious bond that brings the cultures, arts, and people of our two countries closer together."

Meanwhile, 'Deep in Wumeng Mountain' is set to meet Korean viewers, based on a moving narrative depicting humanity and warm family love.
