The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) presented a variety of domestic and international comedy stages during its second week of performances, delivering laughter to audiences.

■ Domestic Teams Take the Stage…Showcasing Sketches, Stand-up Duos, and Witty Talk

The second week featured performances with distinct concepts. At 'Gongtue Assembly @ BICF,' five teams—Snack Town (Lee Jae-yul, Kang Hyun-seok), Youth Desk (Koo Jung-mo, Yoo Young-woo), Ttuksadae W (Odidi, Woo Da-on), BBangOne (Jeon Ye-won, Yang Hye-won), and KKiriKKiri (Ju Won-bin, Park Sang-ah)—each presented their own unique brand of comedy.

The 'Seoul Comedy All-Stars' featured Kim Dong-ha, Song Ha-bin, Komikko, Danny Cho, Won So-yoon, Park Jin-joo, Kim Jong-chan, and Shin Seung-su, showing off their comedic wit. 'Mandam Assembly @ BICF' was hosted by Kwak Beom, with Bottari (Kim Won-sik, Jo Da-hyun), Youth Desk, Heegeukinz (Shin Yoon-seung, Park Min-sung), and Ttuksadae W leading dialogue-centered comedy.

■ Silent Comedy, Juggling, and Magic…Non-verbal Performances by International Teams

International teams also took the festival stage. 'Ong-als,' presenting silent comedy, reprised their Daehangno repertoire in Busan. The 'Japan Non-verbal Live Team G,' composed of Japanese artists, featured Moriyasu Bohbohbigaro, Mr. Oguchi, and Kinoshita Jaku, showcasing non-verbal performances including juggling, magic, and balance art.

The closing performance 'I Am a Dog Singer' featured MC Kim Dae-hee along with Jo Hye-ryeon, Lee Se-young, Young-ki, Lee Ji-yo, Lee Bong-won, Samboja, and members of the Japanese team, wrapping up the event with a musical comedy show.

Executive Chairman Kim Jun-ho commented on the diverse lineup: "We have prepared a wide range of performances, from stand-up content that young audiences enjoy to non-verbal shows that people worldwide can laugh at together without language. We hope audiences can set aside their worries, if only for the moments they laugh."

■ Nurturing the K-COMEDY Industry…Aiming to Become Asia's Comedy Hub

The Busan International Comedy Festival has contributed to spreading comedy culture and citizens' cultural enjoyment for 14 years. Since 2024, it has been running comedy talent development programs in cooperation with local universities, and plans to continue building infrastructure such as a dedicated comedy theater.

Its future goals are to make Busan a hub for comedy content production and distribution, strengthen the competitiveness of the K-COMEDY industry, and grow into Asia's comedy hub.
