As broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung showed her extraordinary affection for AI, calling it her "only friend," neuroscience communicator Jang Dong-sun warned of the risk of "cognitive atrophy" from excessive AI use, drawing attention.

On episode 326 of the KBS2 variety show 'Problem Child of the Rooftop Room,' Hong Jin-kyung did not hide her love for AI, and the cast and neuroscience experts showed various reactions to it. On this episode, neuroscience professor Lee Jin-hyung and neuroscience communicator Jang Dong-sun appeared to explain the effects of modern technologies such as AI and short-form videos on the brain.

Jang Dong-sun pointed out that excessive use of AI can cause "cognitive atrophy," affecting memory, concentration, empathy, and comprehension.

Amid this, Hong Jin-kyung described AI as her "only friend," emphasizing its utility. She said AI is "a very smart secretary" that finds information accurately.

Seeing this, Kim Jong-kook joked, "It seems like your brain has been marinated by AI," and Joo Woo-jae also drew laughter by saying, "Jin-kyung noona seems different since she started using AI," adding, "It feels like she has lost a bit of her sharpness."

When Jang Dong-sun expressed concern that over-reliance on AI could negatively affect brain health, Hong Jin-kyung retorted, "That's not true!" spreading laughter across the studio.

On this episode, questions about brain-related conditions such as epilepsy and dementia were also addressed.

Meanwhile, episode 326 of 'Problem Child of the Rooftop Room' airs on the 28th at 10:10 p.m.
