On Channel A's 'Baseball Queen 2,' the Black Queens fell 8:15 to Taiwan's Okong in the second game between the teams, recording their first loss of the season. With that result, the Black Queens split the two-game series 1-1 and now stand at 4-1 for the season.

Mound Collapses Despite Early 6-Run Lead

In the early going, the Black Queens got off to a good start by scoring six runs first. However, they began to waver in the bottom of the first inning due to a fielding error and a pitching change. Starter Song Ah struggled with her control and gave up the tying runs, and Ayaka, who followed her, allowed a walk and a grand slam, surrendering a 6:10 lead.

In the top of the third, Kim Sung-yeon's hit and stolen base, along with Park Ha-yan's infield groundout, brought the Black Queens within 8:10. But in the bottom of the third, more runs were allowed as Jang Su-young took the mound. Jang recorded consecutive strikeouts but gave up two runs on a throwing error.

The Black Queens failed to capitalize on their offensive chance in the top of the fourth. In the bottom of the fourth, Song Min-ji took the mound and got through the jam, but could not stop the opponent from adding more runs. In the bottom of the fifth, Park Min-seo came in relief and pitched a scoreless inning, drawing cheers from the crowd. In their last at-bat in the top of the sixth, Song Ah and Shin So-jung reached base with hits, but Kim Sung-yeon and Choi Hye-bin struck out, and no more runs were scored.

Manager Choo Shin-soo's Encouragement and Park Min-seo's Fighting Spirit

During the game, manager Choo Shin-soo personally encouraged Jang Su-young on the mound, saying, "What are you afraid of? Throw your pitches with confidence." Despite an ankle injury, Park Min-seo came in as the final pitcher, striking out two batters and closing out the game without allowing a run.

Despite strong performances from Song Min-ji and Park Min-seo, and a multi-hit game from Song Ah, the Black Queens were unable to secure the win, held back by Taiwan Okong's baserunning and the pitching of Jian Yu-tong.
