Hwang Ji-hye, a doctoral student at Yonsei University College of Medicine, achieved a double crown by winning both third place overall and the Dr.O Ambassador Award at the '54th Miss Intercontinental Korea 2026' competition.

At the event held on the 27th at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, Hwang stood out by boldly taking on the beauty pageant stage despite her background as a medical student.

Having dedicated herself to her studies and research, she confidently showcased her individuality and expressiveness, drawing attention as a winner embodying both intellect and beauty. Notably, after securing third place overall through fierce competition, she also won the Ambassador Award from Dr.O, a premium medical beauty brand created from the expertise of Dr. Noh Young-woo, representative director of Oracle Dermatology, demonstrating a distinctive presence.

Kim Tae-hyun, CEO of Oshare Life, who participated as a judge, commented, "True beauty is completed by loving oneself and expressing it with confidence."

Having successfully completed the beauty pageant stage based on her expertise in the medical field, Hwang Ji-hye is expected to continue her activities in various fields, including medical beauty.

Meanwhile, Miss Intercontinental, now in its 54th year, is a global beauty pageant that evaluates not only external beauty but also intellect, individuality, and global capabilities. At the Korean preliminary competition held that day, winners included first-place Kim Ah-in, second-place Jung Su-min and Ha Yu-jin, and third-place Jang Ji-ye, Lee Yun-ji, and Hwang Ji-hye.
